Lots of New Goodies at Appy Couple

A brand new travel section Now Appy Couple is an even better way to stay organized for destination weddings, or weddings where a lot of your guests are coming from out of town. We’ve included widgets for just about everything you can think of to help your guests get to your wedding and enjoy themselves once they’re there. Choose which sections you want to show Every wedding is different. So now, you can choose to hide certain sections that don’t apply to you. You can turn off Registry, Key People, and the new Travel section. Just use the slider button. If you change your mind later, all it takes is a click!
Choose your fun features We love our fun features, and now you have more control over them as well. It’s now possible for you to make the call about whether or not you want to use them. Simply turn them on or off in your dashboard.

More control over event settings We’ve added the capability to automatically make an event show up for everyone, whether you’ve checked them off as invited to that event in the guest list or not. You can still limit viewing some events to only those specifically invited. So everyone can see the Ceremony and Reception, for instance, but not the Bachelorette Party. Plus, you can decide whether or not you want to enable RSVP for each event. Just remember, in order to RSVP, guests will have to be “invited” in your guest list.
Say cheese! And edit photos in your gallery online This you just have to try. Go to your gallery and click on a photo. Add fun effects, crop, resize, rotate—even add graphics and text.
Profile picture Trust us, you’ll want to choose a profile photo to upload now. We’ve got a big surprise update coming that will make this picture a great feature. You can easily resize your profile photo using the slider below it. Keep your suggestions coming! We can’t wait to see how you like all our new features and improvements. My iPhone still says there is no updates to appy couple, and I still can’t upload a single photograph from my phone to try out the new “editting function”

I’m sorry to hear you are having difficulties. The recent update was to our website, not to the iPhone app, sorry for the confusion. We have a second update on the way which will enhance the app and fix photo upload difficulty.
In the meantime if you can try the following steps:
*Log out of your wedding (lower right info icon)
* Double tap the home button. Hold down the Appy Couple icon. Tap the red minus sign.
* Launch Appy Couple and log in.
* Try uploading a new photo.
We are working on getting the update out, and I thank you for your patience while we are in beta.

I had the same problem for weeks, I couldn’t upload photos from my phones library. After Appy Couple support had me try everything they could think of, but they could not replicate the problem on their end. I finally figured out the problem myself. Go to your settings and location services, make sure they are turned on for Appy Couple. I had to delete and reinstall the app to figure it out, but now it works and I can upload pictures.

It would be nice for people that can not access the actual app to be able to toast or leave a message for bride and groom on the website. My Mom will want to write us a message on our website, but does not have an app phone.
Why is this section that is on that app not included on the website? Are you able to add that to the website?

These changes are great! One comment that has come up from our guests is that they find it confusing to have no “submit” button when they RSVP. I did include detailed instructions with the invite, but is this something you guys are considering?

I’m excited for the new site to be launched, and wondered if grouping families together, so that one person can indicate whether or not each member of that family will be attending or not, is a feature you’re planning?

Love the app and concept!
Is an update in the works for android smartphones? The app works awesome on my iPhone but my fiancé’s android smartphone has trouble loading the pages of the app so that they fit his screen (currently the pages are larger than the screen and he scrolls left and right to read all the information).
Can’t wait to see what other new features you’ve been working on!

Thank you for such a fantastic app. Its great to have it all so organized. I can see that grouping families and +1 is going to be added in the future, which will be fantastic. I’m wanting to send invites out within the next two weeks. Should I wait? or is the grouping families a few more weeks off, in which case I’ll just proceed as is.
